Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Basalt (“Basalt”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By adding Basalt to a Discord server or using its features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Basalt.
Basalt is a Discord bot that provides server-management and utility features. Its primary features include Reaction Roles, moderation tools, and utility commands. Basalt operates through Discord and is subject to Discord’s own terms, rules, and technical limitations.
You may use Basalt only if you are permitted to use Discord and are able to agree to these Terms. If you use Basalt on behalf of a Discord server, organization, or other group, you represent that you have permission to do so.
You agree to use Basalt only for lawful purposes and in accordance with Discord’s rules and applicable laws. You must not use Basalt to abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or harm others; attempt to disrupt or compromise Basalt; interfere with its operation; or use its commands to facilitate unlawful activity.
Basalt may allow server administrators to configure reaction-based role assignment. Server administrators are responsible for configuring roles and permissions appropriately. Basalt is not responsible for incorrect role configurations, unintended permissions, or actions resulting from a server administrator’s configuration.
Basalt may provide moderation commands and related functionality. Server owners and administrators are responsible for deciding how moderation features are configured and used. Basalt does not guarantee that moderation tools will detect, prevent, or remove every violation or harmful interaction.
Basalt may provide utility commands and other server-management functionality. Features may change, be removed, or become temporarily unavailable without notice. Information returned by utility commands should not be treated as guaranteed or authoritative unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Some Basalt features require Discord permissions. You should grant only the permissions necessary for the features you want to use. You are responsible for reviewing and managing Basalt’s permissions within your server.
Basalt is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Basalt or any feature at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with every Discord server configuration.
You are responsible for your Discord account, server configuration, commands you use, and actions taken by people who have access to Basalt’s features in your server. You are also responsible for ensuring that your use of Basalt complies with your server’s rules and applicable laws.
We may restrict or terminate access to Basalt if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, abused the service, attempted to compromise its operation, or created a risk to Basalt, Discord, or other users. You may stop using Basalt at any time by removing it from your server.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Basalt is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that Basalt will meet your particular requirements or that it will always be available, accurate, secure, or free from errors.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developers and operators of Basalt will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Basalt. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Basalt relies on Discord and may interact with Discord features and services. Discord is a separate service and is not operated or controlled by Basalt. Your use of Discord remains subject to Discord’s applicable terms, policies, and rules.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will become effective when published or otherwise made available. Continued use of Basalt after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are intended as a general template and should be interpreted according to applicable law. If you operate Basalt as a formal business or organization, you should have these Terms reviewed and adapted by a qualified legal professional for the jurisdiction that applies to you.
